The top youth of Europe is invited again

​In the days after Christmas, many badminton friends travel every year to Hoensbroek, a district
of Heerlen, on the border of the beautiful province of Limburg in The Netherlands.
Badminton clubs, selections of national teams,
Coaches and coaches from all over Europe had for years been in their tournament places the beloved and recognized International youth tournament from 28 – 30.12.2021. 
Many current top players from today's senior groups
still remember the three-day sports event in Hoensbroek.
Youth player from Germany, Denmark, Austria,
England, Sweden, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland,
Slovakia, Israel, Czech Republic, Scotland, Ireland, Russia, Japan, Spain, Luxembourg, Norway, Finland and Italy
experienced in the different years many exciting 
Games and new encounters. 
 
The special concept of the tournament, which still exists today, is very popular.
On the 1st day of the tournament, four sports halls in and around
Hoensbroek/Heerlen the preliminaries  for the
Age groups U 11, U 13, U 15 and U 17 played.
The 2nd day of the tournament has a special orientation.
In the central sports hall of Hoensbroek you will find the 
Semi-finals and finals for all ages.
At the same time,  in another sports hall will we organize
a "loser's tournament" for all age groups in doubles
format. The three-day tournament will be concluded on 30.12. with a team tournament separated according to the mentioned age groups in 2 sports halls. 
In 2021, the 44th tournament will take place again under the name International Carlton Youth Tournament
This year, the tournament has a special significance for the age groups U 17 and U 15.
The U 17 class is part of the U 17 Circuit of Badminton Europe as a Junior Grand Prix Tournament.
The U 15 class is included in the BEC calendar
of Badminton Europe as a qualification tournament for the
Participation in the "European U 15 Championships 2022".
In both age groups, participants can score points
for the "BEC European U 15 and U 17 Ranking".
Another reason for many youth players to find the way to
Hoensbroek.
